Under Varje Rot Och Sten...

I missed the work today (yesterday?), I slept till 4 pm or something and woke up when [livejournal.com profile] shadow_wolfess sent me an SMS.
Gah, today I'll simply have to get my ass up from the bed in time. I can't just keep missing days like that. *sigh*
Mom wasn't happy, she apparently had tried to wake me up after she had come from her night-shift, without any results...

So I did what I had planned and went shopping. Unfortunately almost all the shops I had planned to visit were already closed byt the time I finally made it to the downtown, but I still managed to find what I chiefly had come to buy.

And boy, I wasn't disappointed at all when I got home and put the CD in the player.
First I danced my feet sore to Asfågelns Död and Försvinn Du Som Lyser and then fell down to my bed, turned the light off, closed my eyes and just sunk into the atmosphere. Who needs mushrooms to get into troll-mood when you can listen to Visor Om Slutet? *grin*
Hmm, I wonder what my dreams will be like if I listen to that album before going to sleep... Hehe.

Anyway... By Blixthalka's axe, those guys are talented! I don't think that even NW's Century Child has such atmosphere in it, and that's really something... Whoa. The mood is just... Well, it's difficult to explain, but I'll try...
It's definetely woodsy and absolutely trollish. It's menacing, poignant, merry, defiant and sorrowful. It has both ancient and apocalyptic feeling in it.
It's... Simply amazing. *shakes her head in awe*

It's also pretty chilling to think that Somnium died right after they had finished making the album, and when you read the lyrics...
Of course the gloomy mood was probably at least partly caused by the fact that Katla couldn't sing anymore, but... Oh well, maybe I shouldn't start guessing if Somnium's demise was an accident or not. *wry smile*

But Tundra and Trollhorn should definetely team up with Mr. Holopainen someday to compose a soundtrack for some big (or small, it doesn't matter as long as they'll do it!) fantasy movie. All of them could probably do that by themselves, but if they could make the collaboration work, it would be simply perfect.

Ah well, maybe I should go to sleep now.
I've GOT to wake up in time today and even get a couple of hours of sleep before that.
And tomorrow I've got to go get that Visa Electron too.
