Mmm, I miss those huge, yummy chocolate and blueberry (separately, mind) muffins you could buy from those little 24/7 open grocery stores at every corner in Dublin. <3 Well, I'm quite glad we didn't go through Heathrow, they've been screwing things up lately anyway. Stansted and the Dublin Airport were big, but not overly confusing.
In my case it was the tag machines that refused to work. At Stansted the machine tilted and it took like 20 minutes to reboot it etc. And at Dublin it apparently just didn't like my name. Should remember to write it with 'o' instead of 'รถ' the next time. And the metal detector at Pirkkala probably didn't like the buckles of my boots so they had to frisk me, it just funny that the metal detectors at Stansted and Dublin had no problem with them whatsoever. But well, in Dublin you had to take your shoes off anyway.
Good luck with your entrance exams, are you applying for the University of Tampere? To study history? Ah, Trinity. That would be cool indeed. But did you know that you need to be fluent in Irish Gaelic to matriculate from there? ;) Though, I suppose exchange students don't have that problem.
