Do you ever get the feeling about somebody, the feeling of being home?

Well, I came to a conclusion tonight: Tuomas feels like home.
I know it makes absolutely no sense and probably sounds very delusional and fangirly and like I'm hopelessly in love with him or something, but... He just does. *shrug*

More about the Kotiteollisuus gig tomorrow when my head hurts less and my brain's less fuzzy.
But to make things clear: I did not meet him or anything, barely shared a quick smile or two.

*suddenly remembers something*
Oh Hynynen. *giggles*

Goodnight, kittens.

Maybe it is "a wolf thing", you feel like you belong to his pack and it makes you feel home. :)

Probably yes, because that's pretty much what I've felt with other wolves I've met too. But Tuomas feels like a special case somehow, I can't really explain it. *gets lost in thought*

Well, maybe it's something like that speech from Aristophanes in Plato's Symposion: that humans were first just one being, both man and woman, before Zeus divided them in half and that's why we look for our soulmates, to feel whole again. But what I think is this: what if there is just certain amount of souls, and in the course of time, they've have fragmented, and each of our souls is just a bit of something that used to be whole, so there is not just one soulmate, "truelove", but many of them, to whom we feel connected to. Or maybe it is just me eccentric again (and in that I excel).

I know exactly what you mean and I agree.
I've never believed there's only one soulmate for each person, nor I've believed there's only one possible true love. Though I also believe in reincarnation and in souls longing for the love they had in previous lifetime. For some reason I believe that is the case with him, he's looking for someone he loved in another lifetime. Or maybe it's just me being eccentric again. *grin*

Well, we can both be eccentric deviants, then. ;) And I agree with you in that long lost love -thing, I have been pondering it myself too: it is there in his lyrics and in his music, and it is also the main reason why I'm so attracted to the songs he has written. And I also believe in reincarnation, like you do.

You know, I saw a great anime film this fall: The Millennium Actress, it is about a young girl, who meets only once her greatest love, and becomes an actress, just because she tries to reach him trough her films, which all play with the same theme: the search of the loved one. I could guess music is the same for Tuomas as well: a way to reach out towards that loved one he longes so much. And it just enhances the beauty of his music.

It`s amazing how people I don`t even know and never met have practically the same thoughts and feelings about the same person we all never really met...*is stunned*

But it`s great ! Because as it could be that I myself am crazy because of all this , but us all being crazy exactly the same way ?

Don`t think so....So there is hope...*gg*

Yes... Really interesting phenomenon it is. I wonder if he's aware of it at all.
Though I am inclined to support [livejournal.com profile] lumenlaulu's theory about him -at least subconciously- trying to reach out with his music. And didn't he already find one he called his soulmate, Marc Brueland?
Though if I for example went to him and said something like: "Hi, you know, I feel like I've always known you and being around you makes me feel like I'm home." I wonder if he'd take me seriously. *dry chuckle*

Being a "deep" person too, he probably does think about those things . He said it himself , he ,too, can feel other people`s vibes.(my condolences). So maybe this is quite familiar to him ?Who knows...But knowing how he`s exposed to millions of fan-girlies all the time, I would NEVER have the guts to approach him with something as serious as this.
But, lets say it would depend on the surroundings/occasion,because at an"official occasion" he can probably only survive with a "stealth-modus-firewall" around himself...

Yeah, I think you're right...
I've sometimes thought of writing to him. I wouldn't expect him to reply or anything, it would be just to let him know that... I don't know, that he's not alone, that there are others like him and if he ever needs us, he only has to call. Or something.

Actually I wrote a small note for him with a poem of mine and a wish that he will eventually find what he's been looking for before I met him (very briefly) in Finnish Metal Expo this year, but apparenly the Powers That Be didn't like the idea so I never got to give it to him. And maybe it's better that way. *shrug*

I guess it is the price people pay for being famous: they just doubt everyones's motives who tries to contact them. And it is sad. It is a no win -situation: without Tuomas being famous, we would never ever got to know him and feel somekind of distant companionship with him, but at the same time it is just the thing that keeps him away from us.

Let us all just think about it: if you ever had a chance to meet Tuomas and sit down for a friendly cup of coffee, you would know a lot more about him than he knows about you. And everything you would say about the similarities between you two, he would propably just doubt you and think you're trying to flatter him by saying such things. So maybe better not to admit to it him so frankly. I never recognize people being my "soulmates" through their declaration to be ones, you just know it in your guts, even with out words or due to some phrases, which would seem pointless to others, but he/she still understands them.

One again, I know exactly what you mean.

For example I know I'm often probably too open about my eccentricisms (whether they are related to him or not) but I'd never try to convince him about anything. Heck, I probably wouldn't even have courage to approach him because even though he feels like my long lost twin or something, he's also Tuomas Holopainen, the international rock star.
So I leave it to him and the Fate to decide if we should ever get to know each other or anything like that. *shrug*

Good ol' Fate... Though I wish I would sometimes have some authority over my own life at least. But if I ever get somehow acquainted with that guy, I'll sure introduce some young woman from Turku to him. And that's a promise. ;)

Well said ! So true ! It`s exactly what I feel about this situation.

And also I think maybe a person whom fate allows to become famous has lived many lives in the past and therefore has accumulated a lot of karma , which he has a chance to balance as a famous person, meeting many people and touching many hearts...

There`s a site I think is pretty interesting ,about the different levels of connections:

(hope it works, I hate URLs...) o_O
