Visited the Medieval Market once again this weekend.
Went there in hopes to find a rune pendant because there were plenty last year.
But this year... Of course not!
But at least I found the silver septagram with amethysts I've been drooling on for half the year now. This one. I just had to buy it though it cost almost 50€ (49,50 to be precise.)
Too bad I didn't see much of the play itself, I would have wanted to be there every day the whole day, but somehow it just didn't work out. Meh.
But I really wouldn't have minded if it had went on another day. It felt like home there.
And it was also nice to see that chivalry isn't dead.
On Friday I had some problems with my bike because the tyre kept emptying and I had to stop to fill it. Then some man stopped to offer his help and filled the tyre in no time. And later when we were hanging out in Puolalanpuisto park and I was a bit cold Samppa offered me his blanket (thanks again, hope you got it back ^^). And again on my way back home I had to stop to fill the tyre and some young black-haired man stopped to ask if I needed any help. Aww. :)
And yesterday I was wandering around in the market area with my dad.
It's always fun to spend time with him, when he's telling his stories from all over the world. This time he told how he was hanging around in Buenos Aires during revolution sometime in '60s.
A true adventurer he was, used to just take off on his own and end up who knows where.
We also listened to some band playing Irish folk music (they had a real harp!) and some drunken middle-aged man seemed to be quite smitten by my eyes and asked if he can see me again. And when I said I don't think so he told me not to be so sure. *amused*
Meh... I'd like to get out of the town. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Wow, does your dad travel a lot? He seems to know many many things which are worth to be told. And you'll tell these things to your children, right? And so on...;). What other places did he visit?

Date: 3 Jul 2006 12:42 (UTC)And yeah, he used to travel a lot when he was younger and he still doesn't mind taking off to somewhere if given a chance. I don't even remember all the places he has visited, pretty much all the continents minus the Antarctica.
