Far from the worn path of reason,
Further away from the sane,
He battles his shadows and demons
Fighting to light the way.
And the dust and the dirt cloud his vision,
Onward he rides unafraid.
He fights the good fight for good reason,
A star that refuses to fade.
Still he braves his path
While windmills only laugh...
She was wounded and wild when he found her,
He saw her through a child's eyes.
She fell for the spell he was under,
Each day a brand new surprise.
And she watches with strange curiosity,
She wants so much to believe.
Trying to break the chains of reality,
Dying to set herself free...
Still he braves his path

Though he may appear tattered and broken,
His clothes are shabby and bare,
Still he glows like the light from a candle
With passion of one who still cares.
There was always a rhyme to the reason
Peering out from tired eyes.
The truth finally came in treason,

It's full moon tonight (which may or may not be the reason why I bought ridiculous amounts of chocolate today) and I've always associated this song with him, so...
So... Goodbye Moony, the last Marauder to fall.
You'll be sorely missed. *gives a mournful little howl*
(Except he didn't die, and neither did she. Oh no. They survived the battle to raise little Teddy as the coolest parents ever in existence and to live happily ever after. *nods vigorously* In the original script anyway. *sigh* But hey, it could be canon, so...

Date: 31 Jul 2007 11:24 (UTC)Rem and Dora's death was so utterly pointless (well, Jo probably offed him just so she could have him in that "Until the very end" scene and because someone has to beome an orphan *grumble*). Oh well, I know that Teddy will grow up to be at least as cool as his parents. But still. They would have been awesome parents now that Moony apparently got over his "OMG, a werewolf can never be a good father!" thing.
Gah. I never used to be an "let's ignore the canon" type of gal, but this and AWE have made me want to be. *sigh*

There are some fandoms people just should never mess with...
